Yesterday we spend 7 hours exploring the city with help from a new friend Carlos. It was fantastic to have him explain the history behind the architecture, the republic and it's road to independence, art museums (free BTW) park and more and more and more.
And as it where there as a festival of food, with av. de Mayo filled with stands from all over the world boasting their traditional dishes. I was daring and had cow's heart on a stick, a peruvian speciality called Anticucho, Mmmmmmmm was really good.
Was a fantastic day going from Palermo to 9 De Julio, to Recoletta, to la Boca. We even had time to see the Mechanical flowers before we waived the white handkerchief under the hot sun I think we have certainly broadened our understanding of the city and can begin to see it's history.
I do however have to say it's not all pretty, and it is a very dirt place, with many many contrast. I will address this later when I go into more detail about my feeling for this city.
Check out the album.
We walked mostly and got to feel the city going down in Av. de Mayo, and the famous Av. Corrientes hosting many theaters.

I am very curious about the history now, and the fact that it is so dirty is rather disturbing. but the most disturbing this is that you ate cow heart off of a stick. but i must say that while i am grossed out I cannot help but be impressed.
